The credit card companies have been jacking up interest rates and raising minimum payments while lowering credit limits and sometimes closing accounts completely. This is leaving many families and individuals in a bind with very few alternatives. The burden of debt for many people is more than they can handle. I love this speech because of the examples he gives of real people affected by the credit card crisis in America. The problem of credit card debt is far reaching and it’s personal. We are all feeling it.

This video highlights the lives of several people who have been brought to their knees by the credit card companies. This is why it’s so important to pay off credit card balances every month. There is a way to use credit cards without getting burned. But, watch this video because if you haven’t been burned by the credit cards, and you’re carrying a debt, you are walking a thin line and you could be next.

    Carol, credit cards do make it really easy to get in over your head. If you use them correctly, they can be very beneficial, but if you’re paying interest on them, they can eat you alive.

    I know what you mean. Credit cards make it so easy to get in dept over your head. This is a want it now society and everyone is just at the mercy of credit card companies. You get constant offers and no warning when they jack your rates. So sad.
