The Get Out of Debt Party last night was a success, overall. I learned a lot about things I would do differently next time, such as calling the day before no matter what else is happening and confirming that people will come. However, even with a small crowd, we had a great presentation and fun conversation.
The best part of it all is that one of my dear friends was able to save over $112,000 in interest and shave over 13 years off her mortgage. To top it all off, I have lots of cheesecake in my fridge and that is my absolute favorite food in the world. I have always said, “If I could choose how I die, I would choose choking on cheesecake”.
Next time, I’ll be better at my follow through before the event. Now, I’ve got several people to make appointments with who missed the party.

I don’t know when I’ll do that again. I think my parties will probably be online parties for a while. They’re easier to do. However, I am playing with the idea of having a foot party and hiring my kids to rub everyone’s feet with nice lotion as we all do pedicures and talk about the program in our pajamas with a video and hot chocolate. It still sounds fun, but I don’t know if I can get others to see the fun of it and come. I have really weird ideas sometimes.
